    Shaws of Darwen Fireclay Sinks

Shaws have been making sinks in Lancashire since 1897. Every Shaws sink is handcrafted from their own heavy duty fireclay, giving the thick walls and deep glaze that have made the name a byword for butler and Belfast sinks.

    Three collections

    • Shaws Original Collection: the Ribchester, Bowland, Edgworth and Entwistle. Most carry the distinctive fluted or patterned front.
    • Shaws Contemporary Collection: the Butler, Belfast, Shaker, Double, Waterside and Whitehall. These have clean lines in single and double bowl sizes from 595mm to 995mm.
    • Shaws Inset & Undermount Collection: the Inset, Square, Round, Belthorn, Brindle, Hawkshaw and Bradshaw. They are made for worktop runs, islands and peninsulas.

    Choosing the right size

Match the sink to your base unit: 595mm sinks fit a 600mm unit, 760 to 800mm sinks fit an 800mm unit, and 995mm doubles need a 1000mm unit. Handmade fireclay can vary by up to 2% either way, so have your fitter measure the sink before cutting worktops.

    Wastes, grids and plumbing

Shaws sinks are sold without wastes. Most take a 3½ inch (90mm) basket strainer. The Belfast and Pendle take a 1½ inch (38mm) strainer. Each sink page lists the exact strainer, grid type and McAlpine plumbing kit it needs.

All Shaws branded sinks carry a limited lifetime warranty from Shaws of Darwen.
